Rules & Regulations
PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING RULES & REGULATIONS BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THE CASSEROLE PARTY.
- Entries must be original or “family” recipes. Due to the nature of this year’s competition, pre-published recipes will not be accepted. Yes, if you manipulate a pre-published recipe to make it your own, it will be considered original.
- For entry to The Casserole Party, you MUST bring a casserole. “You” can be a group of up to two people. For example, Ruth and John may bring one casserole between the two of them, but if they wish to bring a third or fourth friend, a second casserole must accompany the other two guests. If they would like to bring four friends, they must bring a second AND THIRD casserole and so on. These groups of 1-2 persons will thus far be referred to as “teams.”
- Each team must register by Friday, November 13, 2009.
- Your “casserole” must fit the following criteria: An entree consisting of two or more solid ingredients (one is generally a starch of some kind) BAKED in a casserole dish (generally known by the brand name, Pyrex). Cast iron will also be accepted.
- Your casserole must be warm and ready to go when you arrive.
- You must bring a serving spoon (or utensil of your choice) for serving your casserole. (If you forget yours, they’ll be available for sale at Pryde’s).
- Doors open promptly at 6 p.m. Judging begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.. Your casserole must arrive with at least one teammate by 6:30 p.m. to be considered for a prize.
- By registering for The Casserole Party you agree that your recipe may be used (with appropriate credit) by Emily Farris on CasseroleCrazy.com and/or in other publications or websites.
- Because there are a limited number of spots available for The Casserole Party, absolutely, positively do not register if you will not attend. Anyone who registers and fails to attend will be blacklisted from all future Emily Farris/Casserole Party events. End of story.
